SASSA grant payment dates, 2026/27 — effective 1 April 2026

Dates are when SASSA starts paying each group. Money paid into a bank account is usually available from that day; you do not have to withdraw it on the payment day.
SASSA schedules payments so that they are not on the 1st of the month, a Monday, a weekend or the day after a public holiday, except where it announces otherwise.
SRD (R370) payments follow their own per-applicant dates and are not part of this schedule.
Dates from April 2027 have not been announced yet. We add them only once SASSA, DSD or National Treasury publishes them.

Good to know

Older persons are usually paid first, then disability grants, then children's grants (Child Support, Foster Child and Care Dependency).
The Grant-in-Aid is paid with the grant it is added to. SRD (R370) payments have their own dates on srd.sassa.gov.za.
Only trust dates from SASSA's official channels. Fake payment-date posts are common on social media. How to spot a scam.
