Yes. The SRD grant is R370 a month for each approved month, and the 2026 amendment regulations extend it to 31 March 2027.

What is the SRD income limit?

R624 a month. SASSA checks your bank accounts and government databases every month; if money above the limit comes into your account, you may be declined for that month.

Where do I apply for the SRD grant?

Online only, on srd.sassa.gov.za. Applications use facial verification. Do not use any other website or give your ID number to anyone who offers to apply for you.

When is the SRD grant paid?

Each approved applicant is paid on their own date, which shows on the status page at srd.sassa.gov.za. SRD dates are not part of the monthly grant schedule.
